Health Canada has now rolled out new regulations for Supplemented Foods...finally! After 30 years of waiting, in Canada, we are now allowed to fortify certain foods, like CHOCOLATE, with vitamins & supplements and minerals! HOORAY!! 🙏💕🎉🦋
And guess which brand will be FIRST TO MARKET with these NEW Supplemented Foods? Yes, my very own: The Better Chocolate ! 💪
We’re launching 5 truly Functional Chocolate products; each fortified with either Protein (9g), Fibre (5g), MCT oils (1.6g), Amino acids, Caffeine, Glucomannan and of course, Vitamins such as C, D and Minerals like Magnesium, Zinc and other great stuff! Not only are they melt-in-your-mouth delicious, they are also good for you!
So finally, in Canada, we can add vitamins and minerals for nutritional purpose e.g., to restore levels of nutrients lost during processing, or to prevent/correct a deficiency in the population.
